It's Mom's birthday! We celebrated with a trip to Texas Roadhouse, because Mom loves the steaks there. I do too, and Maddie loves their hot rolls - but who doesn't? We got Mom a few things, including some more of that new Disney Princess gel soap from Bath & Body Works - and the movie "Moana 2," which made for an obvious choice of things to do when we got home: watch "Moana 2." Yep! It was a nice birthday for Mom. I like the presentation, including the beach card to get her in the mood for a visit to the beach, plus a new fragrance from Bath & Body Works: "Bahamas." Which, of course, is the beach we're going too. All that put together with a paper craft I stayed up late making, one of the Disney Magic...
We have a new pope this week, and he's from America, which is kind of a big deal because that's a first. Not that any of this affects us too much, but it is somewhat of a worldwide event and there's always the prophetic angle coming from a lot of people - could this be the last pope? That sort of thing.
We wrote a Ruth skit today, and it should be fun for the weekend, including a new thing for KidPak: numerous death scenes! Should be funny, actually. And perhaps a little morbid!
Okay, quiet day. Certainly compared to recent ones - and ones that are coming up very soon. But it was pleasant, and that was nice for Mom, who enjoyed her day very much. We closed things out reading, and of course saying our prayers. All good!
