Success on the Oregon Trail

This afternoon was really nice, and it's Memorial Day Monday, so we went out to the Oaks mini-golf course once again and had a great time hitting the ball around there.  Afterwards, everyone got ice cream to enjoy as we sat on the rocking chairs outside overlooking the golf course.

Earlier, Maddie and Nate attempted the Oregon Trail again.  I think they did it twice.  The first time didn't go so well, sort of like the attempt Maddie and I made recently.  But the second time across, it turned out that both Maddie and Nate survived!

Sadly, two members of the party, Tater and Joe, both passed away on the way across the country.  The Oregon Trail is a brutal thing.

We didn't do too terribly much today, although I did get the patriotic tree fully decorated - Mom set the tree up in the foyer area, and I got all the ornaments on it, including all the Presidential ornaments I've gotten so far.  I had hopes for Reagan this year, but it looks like that one will be for the next year.  Anyway, the tree looks good with the ornaments and lights, and will probably be up there until Labor Day.

Tonight we finished "Loki," and it was a reminder of how great that show was.  There were certain Marvel shows early on that were really good, this one amongst them.  Maddie had the last slice of key lime pie, because that goes with "Loki" the show - we'll have more when we're on the cruise, of course.

We read tonight, and we said our prayers afterwards.  It was a quiet day, and the countdown is really on now!
