By T'under!

By t'under,  we watched "Treasure Planet" tonight, mainly because animated Disney movies from the early 2000's have been a discussion at work lately, and there were some gems from that era.  We saw "Lilo & Stitch" earlier, and off the top of my head, there's "Meet the Robinsons," "Bolt," "Emperor's New Groove," "Chicken Little," "Home on the Range," "Atlantis," and quite a few other underrated classics.  And that's before we start listing all the Pixar movies.  Anyway, we watched this one tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it, of course.  We speak fluent flatula, know how to secure the riggings, and know how to keep the ship spit-spot.  I forgot when watching this movie how I used a line from it when writing for our Christmas play at the church, "Holly."  There's one part where I borrowed a line from the movie:  "Shut your howling screamer."

Earlier, we were at taekwondo, watching Maddie help out with the younger students as an assistant instructor.  She was also in her leadership class as well, which still has a good number of students, but soon enough all these classes will be a lot more full, I suspect.  The school season is starting soon, and vacations are ending, and a more regular schedule is on the way, so I know this parking lot will be full.  Maddie loves the class though, always with something to share afterwards on the way home, telling tales of exploits and goof-ups and moments of laughter.

It was a rainy morning, and that's been the theme of late.  It's been a tropical sort of environment, with a high humidity, with deep dark blue skies that suggest some really heavy soaking is on the way.  We had that, of course, and so long as it keeps the temperature down, I think it's okay.  Of course, everything needs balance.  Along those lines, we're all really looking forward to fall. Obviously, the temperature will be lower.  But also, there will be more to do on the schedule with all the fairs and festivals.  I know it's still only July, but school starts very soon, and August sort of gets lost now.  We'll still enjoy the month, but with no holidays, school schedules and hot weather, it's not entirely our favorite month anymore.  It used to be, of course.  It used to be part of the summer break, by t'under!

Anyway, tonight we read from our book some more, and we said our prayers before bed.  It was a good day.  A quiet one, but a good one.
