National Platypus Day

We all woke up this morning, thinking of that special day where we all stop and think of platypuses. Or platypi. Anyway, it is a day to celebrate our semi-aquatic egg-laying mammal of action, so hold on to your fedoras: Happy Platypus Day!

It wasn't all about the platypus today, though. Earlier in the morning, Madison had an invitation to Abbie's birthday party. Last year, it was at a place called "ink." This year, it was at Metro Gymnastics, a place that Madison absolutely loves! Needless to say, she had a great time. There were plenty of party favors, and plenty of pieces of cake. And plenty of fun!

Abbie had a great time, surrounded by all her friends and doing all sorts of gymnastics. Madison remembered this place easily, and remembered her teacher as well. We stopped going some time ago because of the move (we're now an hour's drive away, which is a little too much of a drive). But Madison still remembered everything and had a great time, reminding us that we need to find a better gymnastics class. Too bad the one really close to us hasn't worked out.

We'll find one though. And we need to find a ballet class. I'm sure I'm being slightly biased, but we really have a talented girl!
