Simply Daffy

Ah, the joy of discovery. More steam! Here Madison is up upon our bathroom counter, realizing she can wipe away the fogginess on the mirror - and smiling widely as she suddenly sees herself clearly through the blurred reflection. Daddy was fortunate enough to have a camera nearby at the time!

Today, Daffy Duck turns 73 years old. Looking at him closely, it doesn't look like he's aged a bit. We'll have to look into what his secret is. Surely, by now he should look a little older, especially after getting all banged up in all those cartoons. All those sticks of dynamite must put a few wrinkles on here or there. Madison watched her first Daffy Duck cartoons today in honor of the holiday. It was a "just before bed" sort of thing, where Daddy found a few clips on the computer to show. One of Daddy's favorites from when he was young is "Robin Hood Daffy," which we watched together tonight. Madison loved the same part Daddy did - jumping off the tree and swinging from a vine, only to hit another tree... and then another tree... and then another tree... and then another tree... and so on!

Today while Daddy worked, Mommy and Madison were out gardening. They were planting the flowers we purchased yesterday, and they look very nice alongside the house. Madison was more than helpful, if you catch our drift! She had her plastic shovel and just wanted to always be in the action. At least she's trying to be a good helper!

Tomorrow we'll finish outside a bit - the weather had been great for being outdoors. Sadly, Daddy was indoors most of the day. But tomorrow looks promising. To stay inside would be simply daffy!
