Hibachi!

Tonight was fun - we went to Kiku Japanese Steak House. We ate at the hibachi table, the first time for Madison. She was a little unsure of things when our cook sent big flames way up high in the air, but he had a very good sense of humor with her and kept her giggling throughout the entire performance. Pictured above is the volcano - hard to see with all the other food, but the cook makes a volcano out of onion slices. You can see the flames coming out the top.

This cook tossed bits of cooked egg in the air to see if any of us could catch it with our mouths. Ye-Ye, Nana, and Daddy all missed - but Mommy caught hers, to the applause of everyone at the table. Madison gave it a try, and laughed when she got hit on the head with egg. What a restaurant - where else can you expect employees to throw eggs at you and have a good time?

Madison did have a good time. So did everyone else. We've been sort of planning to visit one of these places for quite some time, and I'm glad we got around to it tonight. It was a lot of fun. We spent most of our time just watching Madison react to our cook, who was very entertaining. It was also quite filling! Daddy couldn't finish all the food they had prepared for him. Mommy couldn't either - and Madison said she was full too... until the ice cream showed up! It's funny how you can feel full until the ice cream appears...

Anyway, before our big meal, it was a productive day for us outside in the yard. Madison helped Mommy and Daddy move shrubbery about and plant flowers in the yard. The weather was perfect for this sort of thing - it has been very nice outside lately.

This morning was an early morning for Madison, but we were ready with some musical instrument fun. Madison was playing her guitar, and using her other instruments as well. She had fun making lots of noise.

It was a pretty full day today, one that everyone enjoyed. Daddy still has some work to do on the computer, so until tomorrow...

さようなら!
