Good Friday

Today was the big day: Good Friday, the start of our production at the church called "AD33." Considering that last night's practice went on until past midnight, things went remarkably well. Take a look at this set in the photo to the left - it is nearly the same one that we used last year. Madison wanted to go up on the stage earlier, and Daddy wasn't going to stop her. She's sitting at the temple, waiting for Jesus to come by. If only she still had her palm from Palm Sunday, she could wave it! If you look closely at the photo, you'll notice she has her shoes off: I guess it's holy ground.

Madison climbed up to the top of the temple with Daddy, and back down again - and nearly everywhere else inside the temple, and backstage, and all over the place. She's been so full of energy and having such a great time hanging around the church. Of course, she's making lots of friends - the other kids there for practice. She's been running around and up pretty late each night, but I guess that's life at church!

Daddy was a Pharisee in the performance, which earns a naughty-naughty from Madison. At least I wasn't Satan or Judas this year. The guys who did those roles were outstanding - in fact, just about all the actors did a wonderful job this evening. It was a packed house. I guess there had to be over 4,000 people there tonight to see it, and that's just tonight. I imagine there'll be huge crowds to see us perform Sunday.

Mommy had the biggest part though - she took care of all those costumes. Just wait until you see a photo of Daddy in his Pharisee costume: Mommy made that! She coordinated so much, and got everything together for everyone and made everything happen tonight. Without Mommy, this thing would have fell apart pretty fast. But in two short weeks, Mommy did the near-impossible and assembled a team, and a huge amount of costumes.

Tomorrow, we'll do it all over again - AND set up for our new series "Exodus." That's right, we're heading to Egypt!
