Valentine's Coffee

Got an early Valentine's Day present today - some new themed coffee came in, a gift from Mom.  It's a smoother taste, one that Mom likes a lot.  I do too, and it's fun packaging, of course.  I'm kind of wanting more now!

It's been a quiet day today, although there was a big Easter Production Meeting that I was part of for a few hours.  I had one pretty significant contribution early on, adding an old gospel song right about the time of the cross scene in the production: "The Old Rugged Cross."  It's startling when these moments happen,  a little surreal.  Also, I'm one of the writers for the narration dialogue - we'll get together for that somewhere off campus in a few days, and that will be an immense moment as well.  Pretty exciting.

Maddie was studying for calculus tonight, and I don't blame her.  Only a few months to go!  She's pretty much riding out the rest of the year, with some highlights coming up such as the prom and of course graduation.  But otherwise, not much going on in high school other than looking forward to the new season and something other than high school.  Speaking of which, there's a senior trip coming up soon, one we finalized today with a last payment.  It's official:  we're heading back to another Disney Cruise.

This will be one of the longer cruises we've been on, and we'll be on the Disney Magic, the original cruise ship for Disney.  We've been on the Wonder, the Dream, and the Wish too.  Now we'll be on our fourth boat.  It's a smaller one, which may seem weird I suppose.  But an advantage of that will be having not as many people on the private islands, which there are now two of.  Which brings another point up:  we'll be seeing their new destination, a place called Lighthouse Point on an island named Eleuthera, a place we haven't been to before.  We've been watching a few videos of that lately, getting geared up for a fun week.

Mom and I watched "Dave" tonight while Maddie was studying.  It's part of our Valentine's Day movie series, where we visit romantic comedies we like.  We ended the night finishing up "Witches Abroad" in the Discworld, which is pretty much the halfway point of that series of books.  Maddie's ready for another one, so we might try "Lords and Ladies" next.  Anyway, we said our prayers after that, and soon everyone was tucked in and ready for bed.

I finished up the Revelation series on tape - it's been an 8-hour series, so that's a big deal there on the treadmill.  I learned a few things, and will probably continue in that book for a good bit here.  It's been great focusing on one book at a time with more intensive studies.

Okay, I think that's about all we got for today.  It's nice out there - the weather is gorgeous!  It'll get cold again, but until then we're loving this warm weather right now.  It's beautiful.  See you tomorrow!
