Tonight was a United Night at FCY, which basically means all the campuses join together for a service, and it must have been a good one because things ran so late on that end. But afterwards, one of the things they had set up was a "silent disco."
The concept is simple. Everyone involved has headphones, and there is music that only plays through the headphones. So the outside observer without headphones, there's no music at all - just a bunch of students dancing, shouting out things randomly, singing along, and so on. Add to the whole experience there are there different DJs, and therefore three different channels playing at the same time that each participant can choose from. You can switch back and forth, and whatever color your headphones are lit up with tells everyone which channel you're on. It was super fun!
She and Mom and Uncle George did do some shopping early on, some mandatory stops we typically do, but also they went out for lunch at Cheddars, and had a good meal there. It was a nice day overall.
We closed up it with reading and with prayer. No headphones required.
