MARTA Spores

Have you ever been to the North Springs MARTA station?  If you have been to their parking deck, you'll see that apparently, this location has an infestation.  Look above, and you can see it for yourself, these mysterious MARTA spores of varying sizes, emerging from the walls and hanging from staircases.

These have been here for many years, and looking up here I see it's been up since the year 2000.  Back then, we thought the artwork - entitled "O-2" - was pretty odd.  It's certainly not uplifting, or at least inspiring.  But it is pretty unique, and slightly disturbing.  It's grown on me.  Like the fungus that it looks like.

Hey look!  It's a Hidden Mickey!  Actually, it appears as if there's some sort of viral infection affecting the MARTA station, which given the year it is, is rather appropriate.  These little viral balls are all over the station, and I'm not sure how many there are, but you can spot a lot of them in the stairwells.  It's worth a peek.

Tonight, I had gone down to this station to pick up Uncle George, who is here to give us some relief from the events that have been going on in the home the last few weeks.  Meanwhile, Madison was off with Camille, and look what she got to eat!

I'm just saying this because Madison took a picture of this and sent it to us.  Perhaps she was rubbing it in.  She likes Zaxby's chicken too, and we are so grateful - again - for Camille helping us out during this season.

Madison was taking a few pictures tonight, including this one of dusk, and this one below of Camille and Madison's friend at taekwondo tonight.

She's also in Camille's small group on Wednesday night, so it was neat to have the three of them together in person.  She had a great night, and when we got home, it was nice too - all of us gathered together talking with Uncle George, and even making time to watch David S. Pumpkins Halloween special once more.

The day itself, however, was rough.  I was told not to come home, and I went straight to get George.  Madison was away for a reason.  Nana was starting Nightmare Day, part three.  Although they're all blending in together a bit as of late.  Some days are worse than others, and today was a bad one.  Amazing, that dissipated later on in the evening when everyone arrived, but the damage was done for Mommy. She was ready for bed early.

We're moving forward with appointments with the doctor, and it may be difficult getting her there, but the hope is that she can get something to settle her mind, and then hopefully eat food again, and hopefully be the pleasant Nana we know is in there.  Currently, she's just been quite difficult, and it's super taxing on our spirits.  We'll keep pressing forward though, because we don't know what else to do, and we're going to show as much love as we can right now.
