We Needed a Chiropractor

We had an appointment with the chiropractor this morning, and as you can see here, Nana came along for the trip.  It was great to see Doc Williams have everything decorated as always for the holidays, with spiderwebs all over the place, as well as other ghoulish surprises.  Our old "Creepy Chiropractor" sign was out there still, along with a few others - he really gets into the holiday.  Mommy and I really needed some adjustments, as the two of us have been under a lot of strain lately.  It took a few moments, but we convinced Nana to get a massage too, and she thought it was quite lovely.

On the way home, we stopped by the library and did our patriotic duty, as we always do, voting for the President, two US Senators, a US Representative, and all kinds of governmental positions on down to coroner.  There were three amendments that we voted on, and of course we looked these up ahead of time. In fact, we knew what we were voting for on the entire ballot, so the voting part was easy.  It's still early voting, of course, but there were a few people in front of us and behind us, enough to make a line.  Last week, apparently records were set with the amount of voters waiting, and for lengthy periods of time.  We didn't have any problems, the process taking around fifteen minutes.  And yes, we got our stickers on the way out.

Tonight Madison was at taekwondo leadership with her latest weapon training:  swords.  She's getting a sword soon, although a practice one certainly.  I told her to pretend like she's using a lightsaber, and she was of course already thinking of that.  Once she gets proficient with the sword, I should give her the red lightsaber we have and let her practice with that one in the front yard at night or something - that would be cool.

Our movie of the night was "Goosebumps 2," which we watched because Nana loved the previous one so much.  This one is a step down, but I think it's still a fun movie.  We all sat and watched that together, and after that, it was time for reading, for prayers, and for sleep.

Nana was okay today, at least until she started to speak with her friend in Florida.  That sort of brought things up in memory and so we were all about diversion and keeping things light.  Speaking of "diversion," Madison got a book from the library that she's reading:  "Divergent."  This is part of a popular young adult readers series, one they even made movies out of.  She's going to check it out to see if its any good, but it's great to see her still checking out new books.

It was a decent day, but we're on edge lately.  It's stressful and exhausting, but we're doing our best.  You can see why we needed a chiropractor!
