Dressed for Success

Today, Madison was "Dressed for Success," which I didn't quite understand at first.  Madison was in her high heels this morning going to school, and it was perplexing.  I found out about the "dressed for success" part a little later, and had to backpedal on my suggestion to wear something more comfortable to school.  I mean, why?  Ah, she's dressed for success, that's why!  She did bring some back-up shoes, and only wore the high heel shoes at certain times.  But wearing those around in a school and it's raining and ... well, that must have been challenging.  I know I couldn't do it.  Yep, you won't ever see me wearing high heels.  No, sir!

Madison and Mommy both have sore throats, although Mommy seems to have the worse end of the thing, with a little fatigue thrown into the mix.  She got some rest today once we got home, although to begin with, she and Daddy were spending a great deal of time cleaning up our office.  It looks amazing, and we'll be fighting to keep it that way!

In other news, today was the official end of the circus we call the "impeachment process."  After months of obvious political posturing, the inevitable answer came out today:  not guilty.  the President was acquitted.  The vote on one charge was 53-47, and the other was 52-48.  One Senator from Utah voted against party lines, but we knew he was going to do that three years ago before these charges even came up.  So now it's all over, and we can hopefully find something else to viciously argue about and show everyone on earth how not to be a leader.

Moving on, Daddy had the new Valentine's Day cards made, using pictures from "Frozen 2," which of course goes with our new series coming out soon.  The other campuses are handing these out on Sunday, and we'll have these for next Wednesday night's service, just before Valentine's Day.

So yes, we're getting ready for "Frozen" here, which led to this terrible joke Daddy did to a few people on their phones:

The night went well, our last night of the "All Aboard" series.  At one point, a photographer from the church came in, and you can see a picture of the front row.  Notice how there were only a few boys on the boys' side.  The girls' side was full!

It made for a funny game segment, because the girls clearly outnumbered those boys.  But it was a fun night.

We read tonight, and prayed tonight, and quite early for all of us, it was time for bed:  we're under the weather somewhat.  We're resting tonight, going to bed at a reasonable hour.  Hopefully tomorrow everyone will feel better.
