Dagobars

Tonight it took us an hour and a forty-five minutes to make it home, and we live about twenty-five minutes away.  It was a mix of Christmas traffic and a bad accident actually on Browns Bridge.  We got home, and nearly kissed the ground, as we weren't really sitting still the entire time.  There were shifts in traffic patterns and lots of struggling to go west - when you live on the other side of the lake and one option is blocked off, and it's Christmas, that was a tough trip.

Anyway, we got home from piano class, and got home to watch "The Mandalorian" again, which the latest episode ironically included a Devaronian, one of those aliens that looks somewhat like Krampus.  It was another good episode, one Madison was anxious to see, but we've had play practice and other things going on lately.  So here we are on Monday watching it, and right after that Madison was back to studying for midterms.  She had her science midterm today, and she has two midterms tomorrow, then a third on Wednesday.  I'm sure Thursday is going to be a wonderful day for her!

It was raining today, and all of this rain is supposed to be a harbinger for a much colder temperature coming in, which makes sense, as it is December.  It's supposed to be cold, right?  No, that doesn't mean we have to like it!

We were wrapping quite a bit today, and oh, there have been a few other tidbits as well.  Jingle Bell was in the pantry, because he was inspired by that health bar that Luke was eating in "The Empire Strikes Back," so we opened up the pantry, and sure enough, there was Dagobah.

I'm sure someone else has already thought of a name for that food bar that Luke was eating, but just in case, you heard it hear first:  it should be called a DAGOBAR.  Yep.  Makes sense.  You should do it.

Snowflake was nearby to give a gift to Mommy, another Crunchie bar.  There was the other advent calendar as well, the one with the chocolates in it.  We check out the White House Advent Calendar online too, and check on the goat in Sweden - that's still up right now, well-guarded too.  It's a fun time of year.

Madison studied tonight, and after that we were back in Narnia with Prince Caspian.  We prayed and read our devotional, and then it was off to sleep for us all, as we're getting up pretty early tomorrow morning.  Madison is getting up for a study session at school, and Mommy and Daddy are getting up even earlier for some other test... that one's not as fun... let's just say Mommy has been drinking a lot of fluids tonight, and visiting the bathroom a lot.  Yes... that kind of test...
