Here's a few pics of Maddie at Chestatee with the other interns, a nice little wrap-up photo for the school year. Maddie and the other student interns had a wonderful year together!
She was doing a lot of wrapping up today, including some of that pottery she's been working on. She brought it home so we could admire it in person. She does a great job!
It was pretty much it for her junior year, which I think she enjoyed. She took a few pictures with her polaroid of friends and exchange students that are returning home. She'll keep in touch, I'm sure.
It was a good day, a quiet ending to the day that sort of went out not with a bang, but with a whimper. But it was good to reach the end of it all, although there's a visit on Monday for one last final. Then we'll wrap things up for real.
Tonight we had a good time with taekwondo, and after that, a bit of "Monk" as we power forward through the next season. We're packing for an upcoming trip, and wrapping Christmas presents, oddly enough. Also, getting things together for this weekend - it should be fun at KidPak on Sunday. This "Hang 10" series has been a blast.
We closed things out with our reading tonight, and after that prayers. This current book hasn't been my favorite, but we're moving forward with the short stories based on various obscure characters from "The Empire Strikes Back." Different authors means different styles, and to quote the David S. Pumpkins skit, "not everyone's going to be a winner." We're enjoying a few of them though, and we're powering through this book too.
The night ended with prayers and an early night's rest. Tomorrow is a busy day, and it's going to be fun!
