We had a decent day today, although a fairly quiet one. Maddie's been at home all week, doing her classwork at home, which sort of makes it homework, right? Anyway, she's getting ready for a big, big test on Monday. Other than that, things are winding down in a mighty way. She had taekwondo tonight, and it was an extended class as she and Team Edge were spending a good bit of extra time practicing. They're looking great!
Getting home, Maddie and I watched the latest "X-Men '97," which is basically following a lot of the story lines I grew up with reading comics in the 90's. I can't believe they're following through that one Wolverine storyline, but wow - big moments. It's been an intense show. Mom isn't really watching this as much, but Maddie and I are hooked.
Mom's been studying about bone density levels, and the best strategies to get those numbers in a better territory. We had a doctor's appointment this morning, one that didn't really answer many questions. Mom basically already knew what he was going to say, mainly because she got the same numbers he was looking at last week. We'll be looking into this pretty heavily over the next few weeks. Obviously this includes increases in Calcium and proteins, and muscle exercises too.
We were at the office a good bit today, still arranging and cleaning it up. Things are coming along there, thanks to Mom's great ability to organize things a bit - it's a mutant ability! We were working towards this Sunday, of course. But we're also writing more and more things for the upcoming "Castaway Cove" booklet. That's a pressing deadline. We'll get there.
Maddie and I played some games tonight, mainly Battlefront, and then we read "From a Certain Point of View" as well to close out the day. It's been a decent day, one that finished up with some spectacular rare thing just outside: the Northern Lights. Yeah, they happened down here in Georgia. They actually happened in Florida too. Wild!
Pictures like these were showing up on social media feeds all over. I've seen the North Lights before in South Dakota, a dramatic display in the sky that is just amazing to see. The shifting curtains of color waving across the entire sky... surreal!
We said our prayers, and were off to sleep tonight, ready to get up and do that taekwondo thing again in the morning. Lots of practice with Team Edge.
