Sea Monkeys on Mars!

I got home today and look what I found on the desk!  Mom got me a Sea Monkeys themed Easter basket!  That's right, an Easter egg there with Sea Monkey eggs inside it, and a new aquarium with the theme, "Sea Monkeys on Mars!"  There's a Sea Monkeys t-shirt, and a metal Sea Monkeys advertising sign too.  Super fun stuff.  The first step is purifying the water, so we'll get that done and just a few days from now, we'll have some instant pets in our house!  Yes, calm down.  You'll see pictures!

Okay, so today is the "day after huge production" exhaustion day, where we sort of spend the day cleaning up.  Maddie was back at school, and even taekwondo tonight too.  We picked up a free drink on the way home.  Taekwondo was fun, and a lot of people were asking about the Easter production, having just seen it - I was at the table, and Maddie was waving palms.  Some of the students want to be in it next year.  One of the dads there was also in it as a Roman soldier, and he did a fantastic job.

It was a quiet day otherwise.  The squirrels were up on the deck a lot, but we have a new thing that came in that we ordered, and it is basically the DAY OF JUDGMENT for these rodents.  Stay tuned there.

We watched a few things tonight, and we read from "The Last Hero" for a bit, our last significant book with Rincewind as a central character.  He's not excited about being launched into space again, and there's a funny motto written in an ancient language, sewn right there into the patch of each astronaut:  "We who are about to die don't want to."  That basically sums up Rincwind for you!  The team is going to launch out over the edge of the Discworld, and slingshot around the Great A'Tuin with the goal of getting to Cori Celesti.  Maybe they might even pass by Mars on the way, and see some Sea Monkeys.

Anyway, it was a good day, pleasant outside and just restful.  No space travel here.  In fact, we don't have anything pressing or stressful right now, and everything worked out okay - it was a good Easter!
