New Series Weekend

Here's Mommy's display case, which is sort of an exhibit in itself.  It's like part of the museum, which was sort of the idea.  Of course, we've got all kinds of topics in there, from astrophysics to paleontology to early aeronautics.  You can see the dino skeleton we referenced earlier in this blog.  That was a bugger to put together - Josh and I were at our house this morning.  Mommy was cooking up breakfast and we were sitting there trying to snap everything in place.  For some reason, we had a record playing:  "My Fair Lady."  The reason was this:  Josh was singing "You Did It," and it just so happened that Daddy has this record.  So while he was trying to snap something in place, Daddy popped the record on, and the next thing you know, he, Mommy and Josh were all singing that and other songs from the soundtrack all morning.  Every time I look at this skeleton, I strangely think of "My Fair Lady" now.

Note in the display case:  the Einstein bobble head.  This is from the movie, but you can order it from the Smithsonian.  Next to Einstein is Daddy's book he was talking about yesterday so proudly.  On the other side is Amelia Earhart, or at least a doll that looks like her.  Mommy ordered this a while back, and it fits really well in the display case.

Today is one of those days.  Everything is taking a really long time to finish up, from voicework in videos to set design to scripts to printing out things to props to... well, you get the idea.  Madison was here watching videos with her friends, and coloring in things too.  She also spent a good deal of time at the indoor playground, having a good time there as well.  It was a fun day for Madison, although not the ideal kind of "fun day" that Mommy and Daddy envision.  We'll make up for it a bit tomorrow if we can head out to the movies or something.

Tonight, Daddy is working late, late, late.  Almost done though.  It's a new series weekend, and this is sort of the routine, as it's been for years.  We really want to make it done in excellence.  Madison and Mommy went home a few hours ago, but here a few of us sit at the office at 1:00 am, listening to Abbey Road, typing this up during a quick break, but ready to get back to work on the stage and editing some videos.  Hopefully tomorrow will be great!
