Did you figure out what was missing Sunday? Take a look back and see, and if you can't figure it out, I'll answer at the end of this blog post.
Today was a big work day for Daddy, of course. It's Wednesday, so we did a lot of planning for the weekend, and of course planning for the evening. It was a great night at KidPak, although Madison stayed home with Mommy tonight. Getting up at 6:00 am is pretty early for our little girl, so we want to make sure she gets enough sleep.
Still, Daddy made time to get home - putting his lunch break off until right about the time she got off the school bus. We ate together as a family, and then had an epic game of Disney Princess Chutes and Ladders. Snow White wound up getting to the top first, with Belle and Cinderella hobbling at the bottom of the board. That big slide is a devastating place to land - one moment you're on top of the world, and the next you're plummeting down, down, down to the beginning again, where you started out. It's a real morale crushing moment!
That's why we play with two characters each, somewhat of a team effort. Daddy had Snow White and Belle, and Madison used Cinderella and Aurora, who was just a few squares behind.
Daddy wanted to stay at home, of course, but there was a big service tonight. We got back, and everything went just fine. The kids were pretty wound up though - the first week of school is always like that. They're full of more energy than anyone is used to, either because their so tired or they're just experiencing so much of a new routine. Probably a little bit of both.
Today, Miss Halston shared some pictures with us, ones she took with Madison on Saturday when we were setting things up for our new series. They are so cute, I thought I'd share them here:
Madison loves Miss Halston and KidPak Jr. We were so impressed that she already has her memory verse down too, along with all the hand gestures.
Speaking of which, that's what got on the T-Rex today...
