Spy

Nana was visiting KidPak with Mommy today, and the two were helping Diana make a pretty large amount of giveaways for the volunteers, each one a gift of thanks for helping out with the ministry.  Nana should have gotten one too - she was super helpful today at church.  She's been having ups and downs, and a lot of downs with weeping and mutters of "I want to be with George."  Of course, we all want to be in heaven, where things are much better than down here.  That was the case beforehand, but certainly more so in a year like 2020.  We're doing our best to provide comfort and warm hugs, but there's little we can do.  The good news is that she's been at church quite a bit lately, and may even go to service this weekend as well.  This is something we thought not likely at all a few weeks ago, and now suddenly she's at church with us, helping here and there, and there to see Madison on stage too, but then also sitting in to hear not only Pastor Lance downstairs, but also our pastor upstairs in that message afterwards.  She's getting a lot of church in lately, and a good friend reminded me that "God's Word will not return void."  Very encouraging!

Tonight we were at taekwondo, but this time just Madison and myself.  Madison was there amongst a large group of students on the mat, and I'm not entirely sure what the limit is on "too many students," but we're approaching full, and that's a great thing for the Edges.  It's good to see so many kids there, all of them eager, training, and acting like there's nothing going on in this world that is any different from any other year.  Madison enjoyed class tonight, as always.

Meanwhile, I was trying to write a skit for Sunday.  We've all had writer's block lately, so to help with that a bit, the family watched the movie "My Spy."  It had a little much on the language for a family movie, but otherwise, it was a sweet movie.  It was a little "Kindergarten Cop," a little "The Game Plan," and a little "The Pacifier."  It was cute!

Anyway, that's a good little thing to do when you have some creative blocks.  Just dive into something else of the same genre, and we were kind of wanting to see this movie anyway.

Earlier today, Madison had taken part of a two-part science test.  She had a decent day at school, although she's still a bit bored with certain classes like Science and ELA.  She has a 100% average in both classes currently, and is hoping things get more challenging as it goes along.  She's still doing well in classes, although there isn't much more going on at school.  The pandemic has left a lot of things closed up or not happening.  There's one high school in Forsyth that's actually closed entirely to students until around Thanksgiving.  Hopefully Little Mill will be okay from all this, but there are reports of the virus incidents increasing once more.  We don't know.

We said our prayers tonight, and we read too.  It was a decent day, though it's been difficult for Nana.  Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
