The Blobfish Family

I really have no idea why, but Madison is fairly obsessed with blobfish.  If you've never seen a blobfish, perhaps you should.  They are these fish that aren't exactly the most beautiful things on the planet, and in fact, pretty much resemble the name that they are called.  Today, Madison was doing a few illustrations, and I think that some of these would be great comic characters for an ongoing series or something.  You could imagine the Blobfish Family up there at the top, learning life lessons together and having fun floating along the bottom of the sea.  I think that's where they live, anyway.

You can see the three amigos above, as Nana, Mom and myself were on hand to watch Madison once again act as a leader with taekwondo.  She was showing everyone proper positioning for a strike, and is from time to time called upon to help with demonstrations.  Nana got to see all of this, and was pretty proud.  We all are, of course.  She's doing a solid job there, so focused and clearly much more advanced.  The years of training and practice are really paying off.

We watched a spy movie tonight, this because we're in the midst of our "Spy Games" series.  The movie "Spies in Disguise" was actually really good, and let's just say it felt very strange to go out and buy a new movie today.  This was a movie that came out in 2019, and we just didn't get to see it, given the "Star Wars" movie that was out, and other things going on.  Anyway, we finally got around to seeing it tonight, and of course with this series going on, that worked out well.  It was a really good movie though, one I'm happy to add to the collection.  We all sat with the popcorn and so on, watching spies and technology, and pigeons...

Madison has some family words to study in Spanish tonight for a quiz tomorrow, and school seems to be going okay for her in every respect.  Thankfully, that's one thing that the year 2020 has not been able to affect negatively.

We're waiting for election results to be certified and so forth, but that is certainly something the year 2020 has affected.  Or rather, it was probably the other way around.  The apparent lack of rioters, looting, burning, and destruction of someone else's property makes it clear which political party is currently trending ahead.

That being said, we prayed tonight.  And we read too - we're still reading about the Hand of Judgment and the work they're doing with Mara Jade.  The story is moving along swiftly now, with Mara swinging that red lightsaber of hers around more often.  Madison is listening closely.  It's a good book.

It was a good day today.  We did a few things, and that was nice.  I was at work, writing skits and looking to January and February at KidPak.  Yes, the year 2021 is coming soon, and it's comical to hear some folks expect things to suddenly change at the stroke of midnight as the year 2020 is over with.  As if that's going  to happen!
