SX20 T-Shirts

Ah, the new Summer Xtreme t-shirts are in!  Okay, not really.  As this year it is all a "virtual" Summer Xtreme, we came up with the idea to make our own t-shirts, and make that option available to everyone else as well.  Tonight, we made the first two Summer Xtreme shirts of 2020 by printing out our pattern on iron-on paper, and then getting to work with a few t-shirts of different colors.  You can see Mommy went with the white t-shirt, and Daddy used a black t-shirt:

Madison's purple t-shirt is coming in the mail this weekend, but in the meantime, we made t-shirts for Pastor Lance and Josh as well tonight, and we'll hopefully have one for Camille as well.  It takes a bit of time to print, cut, and iron these out, but they look really good in the end.  So now we have lanyards, and we have t-shirts as well.  We have skits written and filmed completely - we just have to edit those.  The game segments are nearly all filmed, and still need to be edited.  Today Daddy filmed the last of the KP Discovery segments for the younger kids - those still have to be edited too.  Also, I have to work on a booklet for the younger set, but the older kids' booklets are complete.  Lots going on here.

Meanwhile, Madison has been training hard.  She went to the class after camp too, adding an extra layer of training to the week.  She's confident, and she's working hard.  We stopped on the way home and got a few Cherry Cokes, and then there was something nice for dinner when she got home:  tacos.  Really, she could eat tacos all the time if she was able to.  Just as long as there is hot sauce.

One thing during class that was exciting was the fact that she nearly knocked a training cushion over with the force of her flying kick.  The thing teetered and tottered, but it rolled back into its upright position, just barely surviving the assault.  Madison is determined that that will be knocked over soon, and she's almost there.  It's a combination of skill and strength, and I'm telling you now, training cushion thing:  you're going down!  It hasn't happened yet, but it will soon!

Tonight we were watching some more of season one's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," as Madison is officially hooked.  We visited Tahiti, at least the one in Agent Coulson's mind.  We're going through all the seasons, I suspect, and doing this all while watching the season seven unfold too.  So that will be a theme of the summer.  Madison's favorite character is currently Skye, who of course changes her name soon enough.  But in tonight's episode, we found that she herself is an 0-8-4.  Mommy and Daddy were watching this all as it happened a long time ago, so we're revisiting each episode again, remembering things that we've forgotten.  The show has come a long way.  I remember telling Madison about what happened in each episode as we were on our way to school the next morning, so she kind of knows a little about what is happening as she watches it.  Also, she's played the LEGO version of season two, so she knows a little about that as well.  It's just nice to sit and watch something together, especially after a hard day of work for everyone.

Anyway, we read tonight from our book, and we prayed again.  Mommy was a little under the weather, but nothing immensely serious.  Just sinus pressure and so on.  But we prayed for healing, and soon after that, we were all in bed, this after hide-and-seek, throwing pillows, and getting tucked in for a good night's rest.
