Kneel Before Zod

Is it just me?  I can’t help but think of this when I see world leaders on their knees.  Maybe it's because of my childhood programming.

Anyway, beyond the “begging for mercy” situations, I was brought up thinking that there were really only three occasions that people generally kneel in public:

1.  To get knighted.
2.  To propose to your fiancé.
3.  To swear allegiance to General Zod.

Sorry.  I see leaders on their knees, and all I can think of is General Zod.  Didn't any of these people see "Superman II"?  Seriously, the villain's main goal in life is to see everyone on their knees.  The guy was obsessed with people kneeling!  We watched that movie so many times, there's a whole generation of us that were marching around telling others to "kneel before Zod."  It just sort of rolls off the tongue there, doesn't it?  We all remember the scene from the movie, because it was traumatic to see the President kneeling before Zod in order to save lives.  Fortunately, Superman comes along and puts that goofy kneeling stuff to an end.

Out of curiosity, what do you think General Zod would do if he was ready to propose marriage to his evil Kryptonian henchman Ursa?  Would he kneel before her?

We all have a lot to say, but one thing is certain:  social media and news outlets are sources of depression.  So we turned that off.  And yes, I might be showing Madison "Superman" and "Superman II" in the near future.

Today Daddy was filming for Summer Xtreme, pretty much all day long.  We did six videos for the KidPak Discovery, and that took quite a bit of time.  But we did it all, with only one more video to go upcoming later on this week.

Madison had a bath, a nice luxurious bath this afternoon.  She also played piano a little, still working on "Victor's Solo" some.  When Daddy got home, we all watched another few episodes of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," including the one that featured a Chitauri virus.  Yes, it's another virus out there to be aware of.  This one is like deadly static electricity though.  Believe me, if there's an outbreak of this one, I'm okay with the schools closing and so on.  Right away, Madison was noticing the nature of this episode, about a possible pandemic and so on.  It really is a good episode though.  We saw all of these when they first came on, and then again later - and now we're watching them with Madison, and seeing her as she discovers this or that.  She always wants to watch another one, which is a sign she's hooked.

Tonight we prayed, and we continued reading a little bit as well.  But Daddy was super tired from filming, and tomorrow is going to be another huge filming day.  So we were all in bed not long after that, sleeping, and dreaming of super villains dressed in disco clothing, asking everyone to kneel.
