Episode IX Trailer

Out of nowhere, everyone was talking about the next Star Wars movie trailer, with the sudden realization that this is "the end of the Skywalker" movies.  For some reason, we hadn't really been thinking this so much.  I mean, we sort of knew this was a trilogy, but on the other side of things, we had the feelings that these movies would go on and on and on.  Which they probably will.  But today they sort of emphasized "this is the end of the Skywalker movies," which is the third part of a three-part trilogy of movies, the best part of course being the center part.  After the last movie, we weren't terribly hyped up so much to see this last movie - not as much as the last time.  But after seeing the trailer, there are a lot of people suddenly excited once again.  Call us what you will, but we're diehard fans and not the sort of bandwagon sorts.  We'll go see it all, and in fact, we have pretty much.

This would explain why we we were watching the Star Wars Celebration online this weekend - we saw much of it live throughout the weekend, starting today.  We even saw this bit here:

The Running of the Willrow Hoods!  I love the fact that this one guy (or gal) there is dressed up as an ice cream maker, carrying a Willrow Hood!

But that's pretty obscure.  The rest of the weekend is largely panels, which are interviews on stage with various people responsible for the artwork, or future shows, and then there's the upcoming movie as well.  There are interviews with people who do toys, make video games, and all kinds of clips and costumes and excitement.  It's fun to watch, and we haven't seen it all yet - but we will over the course of the week, I suspect.  Suddenly, we're in the frame of mind to watch all the Star Wars movies again.  But we'll have to wait on that, because Endgame is approaching nigh.  Plus, this is Easter weekend coming up, and we certainly want to do something in that direction.

Today was the last day of the Milestones for Madison, so she was pretty excited when it was all over with.  So were her classmates.  There were a lot of fun and games afterwards, finally a chance to make some noise.  It was a fun day, she said.  It was the math portion of the test, and hopefully she did there.  Math used to be her bread and butter, even more so.  I hate sounding like she's not doing well now, because she is actually doing super amazing.  But she's actually had some things this year challenge her, and that's a good thing.

We were prepping today for our new skit this weekend, and also the big day at church tomorrow.  It's "Life is Beautiful" tomorrow, and Palm Sunday the day after that.  There's quite a bit going on, as there should be in the church, of course.  It's the biggest week of the year in that regard.

We were all home together tonight, playing a few games, playing piano, and just chillin' before the eventful week.  There is a threat of dangerous weather upcoming, so we have a wary eye on that too.  But starting tomorrow, things are going to be amazing at the church.  We'll all be there together, and it will be beautiful.
