FCY Summer Splash Night

FCY had a Splash Night at the church, which is something like our Splash Day at Summer Xtreme, lots of water everywhere.  

The weather was perfect tonight for this sort of thing, and you can see the big water slide to the left there that Maddie and Nate went on.  The fire department showed up and yeah, the kids got hosed!  Sprays of water rained down, and it was just a fun time outside tonight.  Of course, earlier there was a message and service, completing the night.

It was a work day for us, frantically getting things ready for Summer Xtreme with writing and also a bit of prep for a new series this weekend at KidPak.  It's a series that reviews the last month, and one with a pink dinosaur as the mascot - we actually ordered a pink T-Rex costume that should be here by this weekend, and that should be funny.

It was a quiet but busy day today, but it was fun.  We watched an episode of "The Chosen" tonight before bedtime, and of course we're reading before bed too, moving along with this story about dragons and a city in big, big trouble.  That would be Ankh-Morpork, and we're about to find out what happens when people tamper with powerful things they ought not to.  It doesn't go well, but the book is a lot of fun as we find out why.

We said our prayers after that, and soon after that, it wartime fora  good nap, maybe one that lasts all night!
