Adoption Day

Tonight we went to the movies and our destination was the new Pixar movie "Elio," which was decent, although not super great like previous Pixar efforts.  There is much background on this, but for our story, the reason for seeing it was research for Summer Xtreme.  I wanted to see if the movie was okay to watch for our kids, and it sure was.  Unlike probably this one...

As you can see, Nate was with us.  We were there to celebrate Maddie's adoption day anniversary, and we thought it would be fun to head down to the Mall of Georgia to see a movie, and also to eat Chinese food at one of Maddie's favorite places:

That was nice.  And we had a great dessert there too.  I got a those lettuce wraps as a meal, plus dessert, and it was delicious!  Maddie got some sushi and some spicy chicken too.  It was a nice meal there.

While waiting for the movie we walked around the mall a good bit, stopping by a few places, and then of course Box Lunch.  There was a sale there, so I got a really fun Captain America hoodie and a Nightmare Before Christmas sweater for Christmas for free!

We got out late at the movie, and the mall was deserted.  It was funny walking through the abandoned dark walkways of the mall.  We posed for a few fun pictures on the kids play cars, but as we were leaving, a voice called out to us - it was from the cars - and followed by that, there was this creepy laugh, made even creepier by the fact that we were in this darkened abandoned mall.  We were laughing about that all the way home!
