This skit is a lot of fun. It's a skit about the ten plagues, really, and of course that's a tough concept to present in a humorous way, one reason being that there are so many plagues, and another reason being that it really isn't that humorous of a thing for the Egyptians. However, this one song seemed to turn out in a pretty catchy way, and as we're doing a bit of a review of the year's messages thus far, this just made sense to revisit. Everyone did really well, and it's just really fun. The kids remembered this skit, cheering when they saw the Pharaoh come out again, and yeah, they were singing along with the story too.
We had our parent meeting today, and that was fairly short. And then it was time to get things ready for Summer Xtreme. We were getting the decorations ready and making graphics and doing quite a bit of stuff. Mom and I were over at Texas Roadhouse for lunch, and that was nice. But then back to work we went. We were at the KidPak offices and auditorium tonight until about 9pm or so, just getting it all ready to go. The hanging capes were a goofy challenge, and the labels for Daniel's different hats were fun to make. Oh, here's the backdrop for the superhero school, just something on the screens during the skits:
I think we're there. it's the night before Summer Xtreme. One week from this moment is going to feel pretty good...!
