This morning we had a great time at KidPak with yet another AI generated song that I wrote the lyrics for. We had basically the sinner's prayer choreographed with a few characters on stage, plus Death, plus Jesus, who put Death in its place. Death, where is your sting?
It was a fun thing to do, and these skits are a bit of work at the beginning, but they're easy to do once on stage - you just dance out whatever choreography you have, and no worry about remember lines or having microphone troubles. It was the perfect sort of skit after an exhausting Forward Conference schedule. Here are a few pictures Maddie took from this morning:
We had a great morning, and if you look at the photos, yes, that's Maddie's friend Chloe from taekwondo, helping out with worship from the stage. She did a great job singing, and after that, a great job helping us with the skit too!
Afterwards, we went outside after service to watch a few baptisms post-Forward. One of Maddie's friends was getting baptized, and also a girl from a family in Charlotte, North Carolina, who first found out about us from our KidPak online services. Really, really cool!
Later, we got home, and we were pretty warm. It's hot outside. The rain was popping up everywhere though. Still, we didn't see any at the house - we did, however, see a ginormous rainbow. It was a full arc of color that was directly in front of us as we were driving down Browns Bridge Road. It was as if we were about to drive right beneath it. Maddie and I had gone back to Gainesville to drop off a squirrel and get some ice cream, or at least a slushie.
It was a good day. We did some Pirates of the Caribbean after that, and we did a lot of reading from our Discworld book. Sorry Maddie - I didn't realize how much I had read! Anyway, we said our prayers after that, and got to sleep quickly. G'night!
