Revenge of the Pool Party

KidPak this morning was super fun with a great message about Daniel, and a wonderful altar service.  I've been using AI lately to create music for songs I've written lyrics too, and of course it's nothing terribly deep or poetic (although it rhymes), but it certainly has been catchy.  And with two choreographers as volunteers, we've had a lot of fun with plotting out creative dance moves to these songs that have emerged.  Today's was a show tune sort of dance, whereas last week we had an old-school turntable rap song, and before that a country song.  It's been a fun little month of random songs and fun performances, although we'll certainly get back to some more traditional skits soon enough.  But at the moment in this busy season, these are pretty fun.

Maddie was at a pool party with the Edge Family this afternoon, and that was a lot of fun for her.  Mom and I were cleaning up at the church, which had an extended service so we sort of missed out on the pool party a bit, and really by the time we were done at church we were ready to head home and rest - as mentioned earlier, I'm a bit under the weather as is.  So I went over to pick up Maddie, and things weren't quite wrapped up over there and wound up staying another hour or so, talking and eating some.

Maddie and I continued our honest speck of pirating with LEGO Pirates, and after that the pirating continued somewhat with our viewing of "Hook," another foray into Neverland.  That's three "Neverland" movies in a row here.  We have a lot of DVDs of various events in Neverland, so this could be a while if we were serious!

Tonight we read from our book and we said our prayers.  The world is a little shaky right now, as it usually is when bombs of a more serious nature are dropped in the Middle East.  And that is indeed what happened last night, of course.  We're on a new course here, unwanted and yet probably necessary.  The images of the bombing were apocalyptic.
