Maddie voted again this morning, but not early voting. Today was a primary day for Public Service Commissioner, and that was it. Talk about a low-voter turnout sort of election. Still, we showed up, the three of us, and we did our civic duty. There were about 2500 votes total in Forsyth County by day's end, of course a percentage of them for the Democratic ticket and a little more on the other side for the Republican ticket. Maddie voted for what would be the winning candidate once more, the one that goes on to the election later on. More importantly, she got a "I SECURED MY VOTE" sticker.
We were at the dentist again this morning, checking in on her Invisalign, which seems to be doing well. It was a quick trip, but a little bit of a drive down there. Mom and I will be back at the dentist soon enough, unfortunately!
No time for any other stops though - I had to go off to work, which I did. I got a lot done though, and was happy in that. We'll have to share the song we wrote for this weekend's skit - it's pretty fun. Meanwhile there was discussion and a lot of running through of various game ideas for Summer Xtreme. Lots of chaos and trying to figure things out, and lots of fun too.
Tonight we finished our Ant-Man trilogy with "Quantumania," the third and final movie, which we happen to like as well. I love all three of these movies, and was glad to see them again. Afterwards, we picked up another Discworld book, "Guards! Guards!" Maddie and I are starting the City Watch books, and I do love these ones quite a bit. I have a feeling that Maddie will too. Things are just getting started of course, and we'll see soon enough all the familiar characters that I've known and loved for years. Maddie's met a few of them here or there along the way, but now we'll really get to know them and their own adventures.
After that: prayers. It was time for some sleep too!
