This morning Maddie was up and about because it was time to head back to the Loft, where she'd get a haircut, trimming things back for the summer months.  As she draws her strength from her hair, it's a good thing she did not do this prior to the Battle of Atlanta.  That being said, she seems happy with the end results, and yay, good for her.

We also did a bit of driving today, something we hadn't done in a while.  She did really well there in the church parking lot, and in fact left the church parking lot at one point through the back road there to make a turn into a residential area.  There was another driver in that same neighborhood that was driving a bit unconventionally, so that sort of threw things off, but otherwise she was doing just fine.  Other than running over a curb.  But that was when she was turning out into the road, with a turn just a little too tight.  The other thing she nailed today was backing into a parking spot, although these cameras on the cars lately make that job tremendously easy.

I've been a bit sick, and it's been a somewhat challenging day there.  Despite that,we did get some minor work done in the back yard, and Mom did manage to get some cooking done.  Blowing off the back deck, weeding around the fire pit, and using the salt gun on over thirty juro spiders.  Yes, they're back and our deck was crawling with them!  

As for tonight: Maddie wanted to stay in Neverland, an ironic choice for the day, going back to that 2003 movie.  We'll read afterwards and say our prayers - hopefully all of that.  I'm about to take some medication!
