Lofty Haircut

Maddie was at the Loft again today later on, getting her haircut.  This time it was just a few days short of the Homecoming weekend, so she'd have that hair ready.  It turned out rather well, and she was pleased with the end result.

We got home, and she didn't have much homework, so we had dinner - some soup that Mom makes - and then we did some LEGO Marvel gaming.  After that, we watched "Igor," which we haven't seen in a couple years.  I actually like this one and it has a good cast too.  The end song cracks Maddie up - it was essentially the only thing she remembered from the last time we watched this, and so when that scene came up again she was already laughing.

This morning started well enough.  I was walking in Scotland with the iFit program, listening to a one of the guys who played a dwarf in "The Hobbit," which was fun.  Mom and I had some Bones Coffee on the front porch, some pumpkin spice flavor called Jacked O Lantern, with a Headless Horseman theme.

It was pretty good! It was a nice morning out there reading with devotional time, then reading a few other things before heading down to hop on the Nordic Track to do some walking in Scotland with a guy was keeping us company, an actor who played a dwarf in the Hobbit movie.  It was a nice walk in the Highlands, part of an ongoing series that I'm joining as things lead up to our visit with the Highland games at Stone Mountain in just a few weeks.  Should be fun!

Today we got a good bit of things done with writing for our revisit with the "Call of Duty" series.  We did some filming for our online stuff, and we were doing some voice work for the green army men short videos we'll be premiering with the series.  We'll also be revisiting some familiar old skits that I wrote almost twenty years ago.  Tomorrow we'll head to Braselton to get some army gear, and here we go, back to Call of Duty.  Here's some of that camouflage that Maddie wore in 2010 when we did this series fourteen years ago.  Lots of memories with this one!

Speaking of military, Iran is shooting missiles at Israel again and threatening them not to shoot back.  Coincidentally, I was reading Psalm 68 tonight.  Firstly, the missiles shot were labeled "ineffective," and there are many, many people grateful for that again.  It's October, it's that season.  So much going on lately with devastating flooding in Asheville, this big chemical explosion in Conyers, a massive dock strike... it's a troubling season.  We have faith though.

We read tonight from "Equal Rites," and we said our prayers afterwards.  There was a Vice Presidential debate too.  Mom was watching that tonight.  Not me - I'm glad to see highlights later on.  Anyway, after reading and prayers, we got the Plush Entourage down the hall, tucked in, and ready for a good night's rest.
