Maddie got to drop by Farmhouse Coffee this morning, and that was basically the thing that got her to enjoy the dentist experience the most. We were over at the dentist at 7am, and it looks like a cavity is forming. She'll have to come back on November 5th to get some coating for her molars in the back, something that will help her with build-up. It was a quick visit, and again, right afterwards we stopped at Farmhouse Coffee because it's right there on the way back.
She was at school after that, and I was at work, finishing up this weekend's script for KidPak and actually making music for the Christmas production with the preschoolers. That will be fun. Inspired by this, I ordered a copy of one of my favorite Christmas movies, "Nativity!"
So I am having some more serious health issues. At least I think they're serious. It's a roller coaster of thought about what it could be that's causing this body distress, but right now I'm okay - somewhat - because I'm not eating as much. It's sort of a fast, but at least there's not the pain. Anyway, I'm theorizing at the moment that there's a sudden gluten intolerance, but I'm not sure. Bloodwork is tomorrow and a future endoscopy was scheduled today - I meet with someone in November about that.
Can we talk about the cold? It's fifteen degrees colder than what it seasonally is supposed to be, and the sudden chill has us all surprised! It even snowed up in the Smoky Mountains! We're all a little cooler right now, and I've even got a space heater set up in my office now, which is helping those feet stay warm.
Tonight we watched "Nightmare Before Christmas," and I love this movie so much. Danny Elfman's soundtrack is just beautiful, and this world is so wonderful. Jack Skellington is the Pumpkin King, and this movie is it, if there's one movie to watch during this season. This is it. The chill outside makes it sort of perfect, a blending of the October season with the upcoming Christmas season. Here we are in the thick of the most wonderful time of the year, where things ramp up towards Christmas, but we're still enjoying the pumpkins, the cider, the fall leaves swirling down from the trees as you drive through them. It's magical.
This evening Maddie had her taekwondo leadership class. She'll miss the next two days of class, but they're gearing up for Edgefest again at the studio, which will be here soon. Maddie's nearly got her costume ready, and that night will be fun as always.
We read tonight from "Wyrd Sisters," just a little bit. I've still been reading individual "Goosebumps" stories as well, and yes, I finished the in-depth look at all 150 Psalms with Perry Stone's commentary. That took a good bit. The next book of the Bible I'm going to tackle is Deuteronomy, which will wrap up my studies of the Torah. It's been good, and I'm learning so much along the way!
After reading, we said our prayers, and it was time for some sleep. The Plush Entourage, and Putnam went down the hall to get tucked in, and we all had a good night's rest.
