5785

It's year 5785!  Today when we were out, I picked up some apples from the grocery store, and Mom set up the apples, honey, and the shofar on the table.  I gave some trumpet blasts out the back porch like I usually do.  We enjoyed the slices of apple with honey drizzled over it, and after that watched a ministry do a quick description of the significance of the numbers 5785 in Hebrew.  Interesting stuff!

It was a fun day at school with the Homecoming Parade outside, all the students in the parking lot watching the yearly parade go by.  Mom and I were down in Braselton getting army costuming stuff we picked up at a military supply place a few years ago for the last time we did this series.  That was always fun, going to the military supply places.  After getting our stuff from the costuming room, Mom and I were able to get a bite to eat at Cracker Barrel, and that's a nice little lunch date there.  Meat loaf, yay!  The office area at KidPak has been weird now, a leak of condensation and explosions of sorts with the lighting fixtures.  The lights are out, the floors are wet... it's an odd thing, but we're working in a dark, damp, dripping cave area.  But we're moving forward, getting things done, right?

Anyway, tonight was FCY, and Maddie was there with friends again.  Pastor Lance was the speaker tonight, and the kids had a great night as always.  It was a Homecoming theme, which was great because Maddie has been dressed for team today, as all the students were dressed for their different schools.  However, Maddie had her Buc-ee's jacket on.  A little bit of fun costuming there!

Tonight we were watching the rest of the new LEGO Star Wars series, and that was fun.  We're still watching our "Suite Life of Zack and Cody" episodes as well.  But it was later, and we went to bed soon after that.  The Plush Entourage was ready to hear the next part of "Equal Rites," which is moving along quickly now.  We're getting a good bit read each night, as the book has been fun to read.

After reading, we said our prayers and everyone got tucked in.  It's time for a good night's rest.  We've got another day in Homecoming week tomorrow!  Goodnight!
