Here's Jubilee! This is Maddie's costume for this year, one of our favorite X-Men. She wore this tonight to Edgefest, but beforehand, we took a few pics of her on the front porch, and a few using her mutant powers too.
And then it was time to head over to Edge Martial Arts once more, going back to the place where it all started for Maddie: Edgefest. We first started visiting Edge Martial arts
in 2015 at their Edgefest, and here we are nine years later now. Wow... this time flying thing is crazy. Anyway, it was a fun night - it was 80's night, with lots of blacklight. Given that Jubilee first appeared in the 80's at a mall in the X-Men comics, we thought that would be a fun costume. Also, the yellow jacket would be pretty awesome in the blacklight.
Anyway, it was a fun night. I go over there to take lots of pictures for the event as somewhat of an unofficial photographer. Maddie was helping out too, serving this year as she did last. The team were all dressed up in their costumes and ready for fun.
Bart adn Chris were Teen Wolf and a fitness instructor. And there were the usual activities and games too.

This costume was impressive! Huge! All the costumes were really fun tonight. A big crowd showed up for trunk or treat, plus activities, games, tacos, and a whole lot of fun.

It was a really fun night! Everything was perfect, and a great time was had by all. Here's a fun fact: they did family trivia tonight with all those people around and get this: I won. I got a free Edge t-shirt plus some other things. I got all ten questions right, which makes sense because they were questions about the 80's. I was there!
We got home after that, and yeah, we were somewhat tired. But it was so much fun today. Mom is doing just great. We checked in on her from time to time. All is well again. We read tonight, and said our prayers of gratitude. We'll get a good night's rest tonight, because we're all back in our own bed again.
This morning we were in a hospital bed, but tonight we sleep well. This morning stretched into the afternoon - Mom had an MRI done, and physical therapists plus speech therapists. Everything pointed to no worries whatsoever, and in fact a quick dismissal. Time to get out of there. Mom slept well tonight, and so did Maddie and I, knowing that she was doing just fine. Praise the Lord. Mom is completely fine.
