Tonight we celebrated "Back to the Future Day" by watching "Back to the Future," of course! As we were watching it, we remembered that October 21st is more significant in the second movie, but that's okay. It's a great movie and we all enjoyed watching it together. We have that fantastic collector's edition of the trilogy that we bought back in 2015, the one with the glowing flux capacitor on the front. It was great to bring out again!
One thing we really like are those pumpkins glowing at the fireplace each night. They don't last as long, but it's nice having these seasonal fall decorations glowing in the living room each night. We light the candles, and there's no question about what time of year it is.
It was a day off for Maddie, and quiet day at home with doing a bit of work around the house. I got the canopy back up, and we put Christmas lights out under the canopy. Mom is going to finish painting that back deck, but we moved a few things around there getting it all ready for our pumpkin carving party.
Maddie was at taekwondo tonight, of course, and that was nice. The weather is cool outside and we're in a great season now, wonderful and chilly at night. We've got that extra blanket out now!
We continued reading "Wyrd Sisters" tonight, and the story is moving along at a brisk pace. Maddie's enjoying that quite a bit, as am I. Then we said our prayers, after which we tucked in everyone for a good night's rest.
So we're going to try and do something on Wednesday. We'll see how it goes, but we've officially signed in to go somewhere. We've been back-and-forth about that all day, but it seems as if we'll be going to a historical event nearby here, and it should be pretty wild. We'll see! We'll keep you posted here.
Anyway, that's about it for today. We did our time traveling, and now it's time to travel to bed for a good night's rest. Goodnight!
