Trailblazers Continue

KidPak was somewhat eventful this morning - the skit went really well and lots of fun, the worship set fantastic, and the message was wonderful of course.  The "eventful" part had to do with poor Nia there to the right, who literally collapsed on stage during the skit, roughly a few minutes after this.  It turns out that her blood levels were a lot lower than they should have, and in fact she had to go to the hospital that night in Atlanta.  We'd go on to visit her, but not today.  Everything turned out fine, so no worries.  She had a few days to stay there, a few transfusions and some clarity about the situation - it all worked out just fine.

So yes, technically today was the day I checked us in online for the Disney Cruise, although it was midnight.  Everyone else was asleep as I was scanning passports, finding pictures and uploading all that plus other information on the website in order to get us all set up and ready to go.  We'll worry about other details as we get closer, but we've been watching all kinds of tips channels here and there, and that's been fun.  One thing that's got me strangely excited:  crab legs.  The food is going to be amazing.

But you know something?  These Factor_ meals have been really good lately.  I mean, we haven't had a bad one yet.  Mom and I have been ordering these, and I've been eating a lot of vegetarian ones to honor the fast, and every single one has been delightful.  Really enjoying these, and they're filling too.  The variety and the unique selections are just great, as is the presentation.  I mean, you get a box of pre-packaged meals with an ice pack, and it's placed at your doorstep.  Put it in the refrigerator and you can enjoy these meals throughout the rest of the week.  We're kind of into this now.

So we kept taking Christmas stuff downstairs and organizing things somewhat, although we did not finish.  I was exhausted for some reason, so I took a nap this afternoon (just remembered why I was exhausted - the staying up late to check in for the boat!).  Anyway, all this after a busy day at church.  We watched an episode of "The Chosen," and then we were ready for bed with "The Shepherd's Crown."  Sadly, this portion of our story features the end of Granny Weatherwax, who has been an iconic character from the Discworld for decades.  I've read all this before, but it was a surprise to Maddie.  She doesn't know Granny as well, mainly because we haven't hit that book series as hard as we have the Tiffany Aching series, but of course she's all throughout this five-book series too.  So we read, and then we got to sleep after prayers of course.  Cold, cold weather is coming!
