Coronation Day

Here is Madison once more with Elsa - who is this time in her coronation dress.  At this morning's service, just about everything went according to plan.  The first service had a few tight spots, but overall things went well. The second service was great, and Daddy's message about the Hammer of God went just smashingly.  Yep, I went there.

These are the sorts of days that are quite full though - we got home later in the afternoon after much fuss and hard work.  The services were there, but then there was also this tremendous line after the second service - all of these families wanting to pose with Queen Elsa.  Additionally, Mommy and Daddy went in to edit the pictures and post them on various websites.  Madison was looking away in the picture above, but no matter:  she'll have more time to pose with Elsa as this series goes by.  We've got a few more weeks of this story, where Vikings have come to Arendelle.

It was a cold and occasionally wet January day.  The temperature is around 40, and the skies are overcast.  It is not a pleasant sort of day outside, although the rain hasn't begun to pour down yet.  It's just plain cold and dark.  That said, we have a fire roaring in the fireplace, and Madison is working on her piano in front of the fake fire.  Mommy was taking a nap right in front of the fireplace because it is just that kind of day.

Madison was anxious to finish her piano assignments, so she could get to her reward.  She had no idea what that was, but there was a lot of piano to do.  Nevertheless, she rallied herself through it all, completing this week's assignment in about an hour or slightly less.  Mommy told her that her latest reward was somebody who likes to spend time underwater, and was hiding in a spot looking at pictures of others who are under water.  Madison knew right away that this was at her Weeki Wachee calendar, and while there, she spotted Laguna, the latest Monster High doll to be added to her collection.  She squealed when she saw the doll!  There are a few dolls left to give her, each one as a reward for doing piano and so forth.  One big thing we need to do though is get her to be a bit more organized with her stuff.  She's spreading it out all over the house, gradually!  Simply cleaning up after yourself is an easy enough concept though.  Before you do another thing, clean up the one thing you were just doing.  Easy, right?  We'll see.

In the meantime, it was a nice day overall, with a heavy emphasis on the morning.  Elsa took over two hundred pictures with us.  This girl is special, patient and happy to serve.  And talented too.  She's been quite a blessing to us and our family.  And the kids were lined up to take a picture with her, a line that wrapped around the room.  In Disney last year, there were wait times that lasted HOURS to meet Elsa.  But this morning, we made it much easier on everyone - we even made that great-looking backdrop for pictures too.  It was a very special morning!
