Late Practice

Jingle the elf wants us to make a gingerbread house, apparently.  Well, not tonight, Jingle!  He even made some flour angels there, which is nice, until you start to consider the mess that this little elf makes each night.  Seriously, we don't want to spend all our time cleaning up after this elf, but each December, it appears as if we invest a WHOLE lot of time on elves and other Christmassy things.

Tonight was a play practice, which went late again.  But we're getting there.  Hopefully things will pull together.  We worked on KidPak's Sunday service a bit today, and went out to get props as well.  Also, in regards to KidPak, we finally agreed upon a banner we're satisfied with - one for our new series starting in January.  It's called "Northern Lights," a name that Mommy came up with.

This is a series I've wanted to do for about ten years or so.  It'll have Vikings in it, which is something I've always wanted to do.  But for the girls, it is in Norway, which is home to another character that has recently soared upwards in popularity, a certain queen with ice powers.  Our story will be unique, as it takes place in Arrendale, but we'll only catch brief glimpses of the good queen.  The story is more about a group of Vikings that have come to pillage the castle because they know the gates will be open.

By the way, that Viking is from our Summer Xtreme cartoon series, a crossover to the regular series we have at KidPak.  It'll be the first we cross over.  We like this guy a lot, as his role in the last cartoon series was pretty funny.

The messages are going to be great.  Daddy has had those in a little notebook since before Madison was even born.  Mommy helped come up with the ideas, ones I remember writing on the way down to Florida, and out on the back lanai of Nana and Ba-Ba's house.  Here we are, fast-forward to 2015, and we'll be finally doing these messages and this series.  It'll be fun!

But we can't think about it so much right now, as we're so focused on "Holly."  This is just a few days away, and there are still issues to consider and deal with.  Still challenges to focus on.  But it is looking pretty good.  For now though, it's time to get some rest.  We'll need it!
