Ready, set, glow!

Here is the set Madison helped build - it's our KidPak set with lots of lights, and you'll notice the three LEGO Christmas trees there too.  We had those made, and hung lights on those as well.  During the message portion of the morning, we have the stable set up at center stage (as you see it above), along with the characters we've talked about, or are about to talk about in the message of the day.  In the case above, you can see the Wise Men to the right, and a shepherd a little to the left.

These have been long days.  Even our elf thinks so - he wasn't as creative this morning, choosing to simply hang out with the other nutcrackers on the top shelf.  He was in fact an elf on the shelf today, perched up there with the nutcrackers we have lined up.  Recently, we put up all of our nutcrackers - I think we have about 17-20 of them.  I have no idea how or why we have that many, but they work up there on that top shelf.

I sound like a broken record here, but the next thing was play practice.  Yes, again and again.  But in just one week, we'll be doing the performance.  That will be a great time, because we'll all be able to rest again, and have this big burden off our shoulders.  It's a unique opportunity, of course.  But it's also a hefty responsibility.  We're all hoping and praying it all pays off, as we kind of want to do more in the future.  We'll see!

Madison has been getting little gifts from Jingle the Elf.  She's gotten a few gifts under her tree upstairs - some have been coloring books related to the month.  Others have been stained glass window coloring sheets that I'll have to post here soon - they're colored in very nicely!

Tonight we all got to bed early.  Mommy and Daddy watched "The Preacher's Wife" again, and pretty much fell asleep right afterwards.  We have been watching a lot of Christmas movies here and there, although we haven't had as much time for that with the practices this month.  But we'll pick up a little steam here afterwards, and have some more double features to catch up.  There are so many great Christmas movies out there, it's hard to miss even one sometimes!
