Origami Santa

As Madison has been feeling under the weather, it appears as if our elf has come up with the perfect prescription.  "Lots of coughing, I can tell that Madison's not feeling well.  You can color these this afternoon, and I hope that you get better soon!"

Daddy was out and about today, the only chance he had to go shopping.  It was an amazing day of journeying through a whole lot of traffic and drizzling rain.  Lots of shopping malls and obscure shops down in Norcross.  But, the shopping is done for the year - at least most of it.  Now comes some of the wrapping.  We'll squeeze that in soon - at least we have time for that sort of thing between now and Christmas.

Madison spent much of the day watching movies and staying under the covers.  She's getting better, but she certainly had something that's going on.  She did have her flu shot, so we're sort of thinking that helped out in some ways.  We think!

Tonight, we watched "Elf" with some popcorn again.  Everyone is a bit tired from all the running about, but it's all good.  We'll be relaxing a bit more in just a few days, and somehow missing some of this busy running around.

Here's one thing that Madison and Daddy have been working on today - something new for Madison.  It's origami!  Daddy folded one like you see above, based on the instructions in a booklet our elf left us.  Madison has been making a star, and the two of us have gotten interested in trying it all out.  It's the first time for both of us, as neither has ever attempted origami before. But the theme is fun, and so is the challenge.  You can't just sit down and fold one like a paper airplane.  These things take a lot of time, and because of that in the end they have some more value.

So three more sleeps until Christmas, and still plenty to do.  It's time to go to sleep - and dream...
