Jingle was doing a bit of bungee jumping this morning, along with a gingerbread man. This is something that Daddy never got the guts to do. In the 90's, that probably hit a peak - I remember a huge crane set up outside what was Lakewood Amphitheater, with folks jumping off one after the other. The first time we saw bungee jumping was on an episode of "That's Incredible," some time back in the seventies. Several people were jumping off the Royal Gorge Bridge in Colorado, with only a bungee around their ankles.
No thank you. And yet Jingle feels pretty okay with it, evidently. He's a thrill-seeker anyway, so you can imagine he'll be doing crazier things as the days go by.
This morning, Mommy and Daddy went to school to see Madison get another one of these:
She's a High Flyer once again! Yes, this time for good behavior when it comes to thankfulness and being a good citizen. She got her award, and also a gift certificate for a free kids meal at Chili's. One or two kids in each room is chosen each month, and honored for good behavior in a special ceremony. Madison won in March last year, and October the year before. Now we're getting a collection of thse High Flyer awards, which is something to be proud of. Madison is a good student!
We did mostly work today, work on the play. Tonight, church was held outside at Lake Lanier Islands in an amphitheater. This is the second time I used that word in this blog, which is somewhat coincidental if you ask me. Anyway, we didn't go - instead, we stayed here to practice for the upcoming play. It was just a few of us, but we have this musical number that I am just not comfortable with yet. But we practiced anyway, and stayed inside too. It's a good thing, as the temperature was supposed to be as low as twenty-nine degrees tonight. Brrrr!
