Monster Highs and Lows

We set up for service tomorrow, our last KidPak of the year.  All three of us came into the office today to join three others, all of us together putting together the Third Annual Golden Cat Awards, our yearly look back on the KPTV videos from the past year.  We were there probably five or so hours, cleaning up a bit and just generally getting things straightened out after Christmas.  It was a good day for this sort of thing, and it was good to see everyone once more.

Tonight, we watched "Maleficent" again, which was just about our last movie from Christmas (other than "Condorman").  And then it was time for bed, pretty much.  We didn't stay up too late tonight, as we're all getting up earlier tomorrow.  We're getting used to sleeping in each morning, although each morning Madison crawls into bed with us for a bit, squeezing in between and occasionally turning sideways.  Daddy always gets the feet in those instances, and slowly over time, he is pushed to the edge where he somehow sleeps like a cliff dweller.

Calendars were filled out today - there were lots of dates and things to transfer from 2014 to 2015.  Daddy has a personal planner too, which is kind of handy actually.

Meanwhile, Madison was under the Christmas tree, playing with the Monster High dolls she got.  Also, she spent a lot of time playing Disney Infinity 2.0 with Daddy, using Drax and Gamora.  The game has some pretty funny combinations.  I mean, there's Groot riding in Vanellope Von Schweet's candy car in  a land themed by "Planes: Fire and Rescue."  Lots of fun, and lots of new levels to do - these will probably take all year, really.  And she does all this while wearing a costume or two - Madison got a few for Christmas, and each one includes a wig as well.  Madison has been blonde for most of the week.  When asked if she wants to dye her hair blonde, she said "no thank you."  Probably a wise choice.

The weather outside is sunny again, and not at all like winter.  The forecast for this winter sounded pretty dire, with ice and snow - but we'll have to wait and see about that.  Right now, it's just wet and cool.  Lots of dreary, and overcast, and just the right sort of weather to make you long for spring.

Or at least long for a trip to Hawaii...
