Space Day

Here Madison is in a simulation of a Mission to Mars - this was an "upload your photo" opportunity I found on the NASA website in honor of SPACE DAY. It's a day to commemorate space travel and make plans to pack for trips to Mars and other planets. My recommendation might be to avoid Saturn though, certainly after the recent blizzard that was reported there. Here's a snapshot of Saturn taken recently, where you can see the cold weather churning around.

Better wear your winter clothing. Saturn is a nice place to look at, but a vicious one to visit. Meanwhile, here on earth, the temperature has been in the upper eighties all week. The humidity has been summer-like, and it's been the sort of day where you want to get your outdoor stuff done earlier or later in the day.

Mommy has been working later in the day - with Ba-Ba and Nana too. Everyone has been outdoors, setting up things for the side of the house and the rear: there you'll find flowers, a rock pathway and a gliding chair to sit in. We're by no means finished, but it is starting to look much better after this week.

Madison was helpful outside, and she was also helpful on a shopping trip today, where Mommy, Ba-Ba and Nana went for a trip to Lowe's and a few other places. Daddy has to go to a few places tomorrow: the reason is that it is Mommy's birthday! That's right, tomorrow's the big day!

We'll celebrate by going to eat some place nice, but Daddy has a few more gift items to add to his list. It'll be a big weekend: we've also go Mother's Day on Sunday! Lots going on, so you'll want to stay tuned to find out about all the big celebrations.

Until then, I'm afraid it's time for bed. I'd like to write some more, but unfortunately, we're out of SPACE...
