Love Without Boundaries

Some time ago, we heard about an organization called Love Without Boundaries. Their objective is to change the lives of orphans in China, and by various means ranging from foster care to education to medical help. One significant effort involves payment for surgeries that would not be otherwise affordable. We were glad to help when we heard they were having a charity auction - and just today we received our item in the mail that we bid on: a Mulan Beach Towel! Madison was jumping up and down to see what it was, and quickly grabbed it and placed the towel in her shopping cart when we gave it to her! That's coming to Disney with us for sure...

Today we returned back to Monkey Joe's, a little later in the afternoon. Ba-Ba and Nana came along, and together we watched as Madison plunged down huge slides and mercilessly pounded inflatable pylons. She had a very good time, and ran herself until she was tired! At one point however, an older boy started to jump on the inflatables for the younger ones where Madison was. Worse, he started doing kickboxing moves! Next thing, he started to try and block her and act all aggressive to mark his territory. Daddy then decided maybe it was time to step in, but Madison went around to the other side of the pylon and lunged at it from a different angle. It was just a game and she was having fun! The boy was unprepared as the pylon crashed down on him, with Madison on top of it. Her head hit his jaw and he just lay there, stunned. Madison, on the other hand, is quite used to head-butts! Just ask some of my friends from work and they'll tell you - she accidentally head-butts us all the time! So that's why she laughed, got up and continued having fun while this other boy just lay there, staring upwards, unmoving. He eventually left - I guess he got the hint. Madison didn't mean anything with her behavior. It was all an accident, and it was just her having a good time. She didn't know she had knocked this older boy down for the count like that, but Daddy had to sit there and laugh. No one messes with Madison!

Afterwards, we relaxed with Ba-Ba, Mommy and Nana. We had fun at Monkey Joe's, but there was another reason why we had come here today. While Madison spent time jumping and having fun, we arranged something pretty special for June 15th. I'll give you one guess what it was:

That's right - it's her birthday party coming up soon! You're all invited, of course! This will be Madison's fourth birthday party. We decided to have it here because it is a place where all the kids of her age seem to have an absolutely great time. We considered many other options, but for her age, this one seemed to be a great time for her and anyone else who comes. There are extra rooms for the birthday celebration, and when we're done in there, the kids can jump and scream until they're exhausted! Sort of like Madison did today...!

Today was another full day. Daddy managed to get a lot of work done this morning, and while he was working on his computer, Madison was showing Ba-Ba, Nana and Mommy how she works her computer in her playroom!

A little later, he made time to spend over an hour with Madison putting together Mr. Potato Head costumes. We made pirates, princesses, Star Wars characters, the Statue of Liberty and even Tinker Bell. We had fun with a Spuda Fett Potato Head Doll (Boba Fett), riding around on Dumbo, and our Taters of the Lost Ark Potato Head wearing all kinds of inappropriate hats! Madison likes playing with Mr. Potato Head dolls, and this was just the perfect excuse for Daddy to stop and have some fun too!

We had a nice day together with Ba-Ba and Nana. Tomorrow, everyone plans on doing a little shopping, and bringing Madison along for the fun. Daddy has to work, but today was a great day spent together - and that's just fine.
