Mother's Day

Today was another full day, but that's just what Mother's Day has become around here. Think of it: we've got four mothers in the family including Mommy, Aunt Shain, Nana and Madison's Great-Grandma. Add to this that we celebrated Mommy's birthday AND Ye-Ye's birthday, and it was quite a party!

After church, we all drove up to Cleveland to Great-Grandma's house. We brought Chinese food from our favorite little Chinese restaurant here in town, and we brought all kinds of presents. Aunt Shain brought delicious cakes, and we enjoyed the afternoon together sitting and talking. Of course, with Madison there was only so much talking that could go on: there had to be time for wrestling! With the cousins there at the house, Madison had a lot of fun running around and rolling these giant pilates balls around the house.

Mommy got a few presents, as did Ye-Ye and of course there were the Mother's Day gifts as well. It was pretty much like Christmas around the house, with all kinds of food and gifts and fun. And, it was a beautiful afternoon. When we arrived home, we found it was too good of an afternoon to waste, as Madison ran around the front lawns with her cousins and the rest of the adults stood by and talked, or played catch.

This morning, Ba-Ba and Nana left for home, going back to Florida. We'll see them again in ten days or so when we return to Florida. Daddy is SO looking forward to that trip. Madison is too - she just doesn't know it yet!
