Mary Poppins

Tonight was date night for Mommy and Daddy, who've had tickets to go see Mary Poppins at the Fox Theater in Atlanta.

It was a great show! There were lots of incredible stage effects, and of course the music is contageous in a good way. I'll be singing "Spoon Full of Sugar" for the next three weeks! Mommy and Daddy really enjoyed the show a lot, and while we were at the theater, Ba-Ba and Nana were watching Madison, who acted very nicely tonight.

Today before we left, Mommy and Daddy plugged in the movie "Mary Poppins" so that Madison could watch it with us. It was actually a good idea to watch before going to see the play - both were a bit different, but both very good in their own way. Soon, Madison may get to meet Mary Poppins at a character dining experience in Disney World, so you could call our movie-watching a little "research!"

This morning, Daddy went out with Madison for a bit. We went by the bank for a bit (to be specific, not the Dawes, Tomes, Mousely, Grubbs Fidelity Fiduciary Bank). After that, Daddy took Madison through her first drive-thru car wash. Yes, another big moment - take a look!

Here she is, looking out the window at the giant blue brushes as they come swooping down and splattering soap on the windows. Madison got a kick out of it, and so did Daddy as he watched her looking from window to window at the onslaught of soap and water. In no time, the car was clean - but for a while, it was just like an amusement park ride!

She had a good day today with Ba-Ba and Nana. They walked down to the park together, and Nana read stories to Madison in the rocking chair in the nursery.

But it's late right now, and time to get to sleep for the night. We're home late from the show, quite a drive home from Atlanta when you're rather tired. Today was a good day - in fact, it was a super day. You could even call it supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

"You know, you *can* say it backwards, which is "docious-ali-expi-istic-fragil-cali-rupus" - but that's going a bit too far, don't you think? "
