Maddie was at taekwondo tonight, instructing, sparring and using her nunchucks too. It was another day full of classes, including the morning sort at college. Maddie had her lab today and that was boring, she said. But it's all new and she's got a positive outlook on things.
Mom and I just made reservations for tea! We're going to a Narnia-themed high tea in a few months, going to a tea house we've been keeping our eye on the last few months. It's something we've been wanting to do, having high tea. But now we can do a Narnia themed version of it, and that's super cool.
Today's Nana's birthday, and she's been in Iowa to celebrate. Not necessarily a popular destination for celebrating a birthday, but she and Ye-Ye have always wanted to go to the Iowa State Fair. This they did today, as well as visit a lot of other places this week in that general area, meaning Wisconsin and Illinois too. We keep getting all kinds of great pictures from their adventures.
We read tonight from "Soul Music," and it's good to be reading about our favorite character DEATH again. He seems to be ready to take a break once again, and that generally doesn't work out as well for the Discworld. We'll see how things unfold as we read on, but it's always a nice little stop in the Discworld.
We said our prayers after that, and yep, it's time for sleep.
