Coffee People

Maddie was off to school this morning again, and it's calculus - meaning, it's challenging, but Maddie's enjoying it.  She stayed around campus for a bit afterwards, hanging out with friends at the student center I think.  Meanwhile I was at meetings today, and moving forward with our booklet again.  

One thing we finally got to try was some of that Black Rifle Coffee that I picked up in Pigeon Forge.  Joey, who works at the church with us, is a big fan of that brand of coffee, so I got some for him and myself, and we were able to enjoy that while working on these messages for October.  First, about the coffee:  I actually really enjoyed this flavor!  It's obviously got a pirate-theme to it, which doesn't have anything to do with coffee, but the artwork and title are fun.  As for the flavor, it's dark and rich, and that's something I really like about this blend.  Next time, I'll probably get a bag of it.  We have a lot of coffee now to go through, and I'm sure there'll be some Christmas blends on the way soon.  But Maddie's going through the coffee daily too, and it's fun.

As for our booklet, we accomplished what we set out to do this afternoon, hammering out four quality messages for October's racing theme.  Or, at least it's an automotive theme.  I sort of latched on to the Crash Test Dummies for some artwork throughout, but I'll use other automotive themes too.  This time, the entire book will be done by me, as Camille is at home again.  It'll be a challenge, but I got started on this one right away.

Tonight's movie was "Monsters University," in honor of Maddie's recent college experience.  We had this movie in our mind since the start of college, but it's also our first "fall" movie too, despite it being August.  This is still a great movie.  I can't believe we're here already with the college experience.  Of course, I'm remembering when this movie came out, and remembering how young Maddie was at the time.  Back then, we were playing Disney Infinity's version of Monster University, setting elaborate traps and running all over that campus and Fear Tech's too.  Good times.

Tonight, we read tonight from "Soul Music," and then it was time for prayers, and some sleep.
