The Tarzan Library Book

We visited with Nana this afternoon, and she seems to be doing much better with her state of being.  She seems more comfortable there, and perhaps even a little less lost.  She even showed signs of eating, and that may be a really good thing of course.  We brought her some grapes today - Maddie and I did a quick trip to the grocery store and got those and other items needed around the house.  There were a couple stops on the way back home, one being the bank and the other the library.  We went into the library for a quick visit today, and stopped to visit with the two bronze kids reading Tarzan at the entrance:

Maddie's grown quite a bit since the last time she posed with these two, back in 2012.  Here's their picture ten years ago:

And here's my picture that Maddie took just for fun...

We picked up a puzzle there, and dropped one off.  We also got Maddie another book she was wanting to try reading again too, and no, it wasn't the bronze Tarzan book pictured above.

Speaking of the Librarian, we started a new book tonight, "The Last Continent," where our favorite Librarian orangutan has been suffering with some sort of magical illness.  The cure is found in discovering his name, which of course only Rincewind knows.  We'll have to go find him, of course, on the lost continent XXXX.  It's been a fun start to a new book - we read that one, and a little of our devotional before getting to sleep tonight.

It's been a quiet day today.  We had Team Edge practice, and that went well of course.  I was over at the church setting things up for tomorrow, which is shaping up to be a good day.  Mom is doing tax preparations, looking up forms and so forth.  We were doing work towards "Weird Science" as well, and also switching out the smoke alarm batteries.  Got to do that at the right time - we mark it on the calendar so we don't forget.  Maddie was doing a bit of homework today, and we were also playing some video games - I think we were on Battlefront II" for a good while this afternoon because why not?

It was a good day, and it ended in a pretty strong storm tonight after bed.  We've got to get up earlier tomorrow, or at least that's the perception due to the return of Daylight Savings Time.  No one likes this one here where we get up an hour earlier.  We tried to get to sleep an hour earlier, because tomorrow is a big day at church.
