Madison had her first Live to Give meeting today, and one of the things done is come up with ways to get more students to join up. There's another meeting coming up very shortly, but this time on Tuesday afternoons - Madison helped make brochures like the one above.
She had a long day today - we started out early with a math study session at 8am, one where she showed up early to hopefully learn a little more before her big summative test today. This is a big test, and she thinks she did okay on it, although it continues tomorrow. Tomorrow, there's another summative too, one in social studies. She seems to have a better handle on that one, but these math topics are advanced, and take a little more studying on her part. She studied last night, and she was up early this morning, setting her alarm to get there an hour before school started.
After school, of course, there was Live to Give. Daddy picked her up from that afterwards, and we ate hurriedly at home, and were off to taekwondo. Like we said, it was a long day for Madison.
She did get to study when we got home. But it was an early night for sure, as everyone was pretty worn out by the end of it all. We started a new book - the last book in the "Heir to the Empire" trilogy, this one by request from Madison who is a big Star Wars fan, and sure, a geek. She has friends that are just as into superheroes and Star Wars, so it's great to have someone else to talk about things like that with. In fact, she's taking these online tests all the time, the ones that ask you what kind of person you are based on pointed questions with multiple choice answers - and in the end, you get to find out what kind of Marvel hero your are, or which Star Wars character you are most like. In the end, she's like MJ from Marvel, or Rey from Star Wars, which I could have guessed that before the test! She had Daddy take the test tonight, and he was like Agent Coulson in one test, and Kanan Jarrus in the other. Which might be something you could guess ahead of time too...!
Anyway, it was a long day today, and she felt good about the test, so despite the busy nature of the day, all is well. We'll get a good night's rest here, and start it all up again tomorrow!
